SAFARI ITINERARY
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with a personalized welcome from your driver-guide at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your Arusha hotel, or another arranged location. After a short briefing, head out on a 2.5–3-hour scenic drive to Tarangire National Park.
Famous for its massive elephant herds and majestic baobab trees, Tarangire offers incredible wildlife sightings including lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and over 500 bird species. Enjoy a game drive through this picturesque park, followed by a picnic lunch in the wild.
Later, continue to Karatu, a peaceful town on the escarpment near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Check into your charming lodge, where you can relax before dinner.

Day 2: Karatu to Northern Serengeti
After breakfast, depart for the Northern Serengeti, traveling through the Ngorongoro Highlands and across the vast Serengeti plains. This full-day journey is a game drive, offering incredible scenery and wildlife sightings along the way.
Arrive in the Northern Serengeti, a remote and wildlife-rich region, especially famous for the Great Migration River crossings at the Mara River (seasonal, typically July–October). Enjoy en-route wildlife viewing before checking into your tented camp for a relaxing evening in the heart of the bush.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Northern Serengeti
Spend the day exploring the untouched beauty of the Northern Serengeti. Begin with a sunrise game drive prime time for spotting big cats on the move. Traverse the open plains and riverbanks in search of lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and massive herds of wildebeest and zebras.
If you're traveling during the Great Migration season, this area offers one of nature's most breathtaking spectacles: the Mara River crossing, where thousands of animals brave crocodile-filled waters in search of greener pastures.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic location and continue your afternoon drive, then return to camp for dinner and a peaceful night under the stars.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, begin your journey south through the Central Serengeti, a region renowned for its rich predator population and classic savannah views. Enjoy an en-route game drive, capturing your final moments in the Serengeti ecosystem.
Pause for a picnic lunch amidst the iconic plains of the Central Serengeti, where the savannah stretches endlessly and wildlife sightings remain abundant. As you drive through this rich ecosystem, enjoy prime opportunities to spot big cats lounging under acacia trees, elephant herds crossing the grasslands, and hippos wallowing in waterholes.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, descend into the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, often called Africa’s Eden. This massive volcanic caldera is home to the Big Five and supports a year-round population of predators and grazers, including black rhinos, elephants, lions, hippos, and flamingos.
Enjoy a half-day game drive across diverse landscapes from open plains to acacia forests and freshwater lakes followed by a picnic lunch on the crater floor.
After your wildlife adventure, ascend from the crater and head back to Karatu for your final safari night. Relax at the lodge with dinner and time to reflect on the day.

Day 6: Mto wa Mbu Cultural Tour – Return to Arusha
Your final day offers a special cultural experience in the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu, located at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. After breakfast, take a guided walking or biking tour through the community, exploring banana plantations, local homes, bustling markets, and learning about the lifestyles of over 120 ethnic groups living harmoniously in this small village.
Enjoy a traditional local lunch prepared by a women's cooperative or family host before beginning your drive back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your evening flight or overnight stay.
