SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1: Arusha to Ndutu (South Serengeti )

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha by your professional driver-guide. After a short briefing, you'll set out on a scenic drive toward Ndutu, located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The first leg of the journey takes about 2 hours to reach the Loduare Gate, where you'll complete park entry formalities and stretch your legs. From there, the landscape transitions from lush highlands to the sweeping plains of Southern Serengeti.

Enjoy en-route game viewing as you enter the Ndutu region—especially thrilling from December to March, when the Great Migration passes through, and wildebeest calving draws large numbers of predators. You'll arrive at Ndutu Heritage Camp in time for lunch and an afternoon of relaxation. If time allows, a short sunset drive can be arranged. Afterward, enjoy dinner and settle in for a night surrounded by nature.

This region is a prime location during the calving season, when nearly half a million wildebeest are born within a few short weeks. This natural spectacle attracts predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, offering exceptional photographic opportunities and thrilling wildlife interactions.

Your guide will tailor the day’s route based on animal movement, possibly exploring areas around Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, and stopping at scenic viewpoints for lunch in the bush. In the late afternoon, return to camp for a well-earned dinner and overnight stay, immersed in the peaceful sounds of the African night.

The Crater is home to roughly 25,000 animals, including the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, black rhino, and leopard.
