Day 1: Arrival in Arusha City

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your friendly guide will welcome you and drive you through serene farmland into Arusha Tanzania’s safari gateway. At Greenside Hotel, you can unwind in tranquil surroundings, relax in the lush gardens, or explore the charming town center. With only breakfast included today, you’re free to savor a leisurely dinner at a local restaurant, easing into the rhythm of East African life.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your adventure begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park, where majestic baobab trees tower over elephant herds gathered at the life giving Tarangire River. The riverbanks teem with wildlife zebras, buffalo, wildebeests, and impalas migrate through, while lions, leopards, and cheetahs hide in the grasses. A picnic lunch amid this wilderness lets you savor the bush atmosphere, and the afternoon drive continues the immersive wildlife experience.

As the day winds down, you’ll head toward the Lake Manyara region and your retreat Inoga Lodge Karatu Tucked away in peaceful surroundings, the lodge is the perfect place to reflect on your first wild encounters. Day 3: Transfer to Ndutu via Ngorongoro Highlands

Today’s journey takes you on a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands, with panoramic views and opportunities to glimpse Maasai herds moving across the landscape. At the Ngorongoro Loduare Gate, you’ll complete permit formalities before entering a wildlife-rich corridor. Wildlife sightings en route giraffes, zebra, and antelope offer preludes to a grander entrance.

By midday, the landscape opens into Ndutu, the southern Serengeti's sprawling plains. Settling into Africa Safari South Serengeti, your safari immersion deepens as your first game drive unfolds—zebra, wildebeest, lions, and graceful eland roam freely. Dinner back at camp is a quiet moment to absorb the expanse and anticipation of the days ahead.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu

Wake to the dawn’s chorus and step into Ndutu’s vast wilderness for a full-day exploration. February to March brings the Great Wildebeest Migration calving season, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest give birth, attracting predators in a dramatic display of nature’s rhythm. Your guide will find the action newborn calves, close-pursuing lions, and birds swooping overhead.

Enjoy a bush lunch amidst the savannah's hush, and continue spotting graceful elands, majestic giraffes, and stalking predators. As the sun dips, return to your tented camp for a nourishing dinner and the captivating hush of an African night perfumed by wild sage and brimming with memories.

Day 5:  Ngorongoro Crater

This morning brings you to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, descending its steep walls into a verdant crater basin. There, a thriving micro-ecosystem awaits, home to dense congregations of wildlife including black rhinos, hippos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, and over 25,000 animals within this enclosed crater. Traverse grasslands, swamps, and soda lakes, where flamingos paint Lake Magadi pink, and rainforests hide elusive elephants.

Enjoy a picnic lunch with crater views, surrounded by wildlife and the ancient silence of this natural amphitheatre. Later, ascend and proceed to Inoga Lodge Karatu. As evening sets in, reflect on the day’s breathtaking encounters over dinner, cocooned by the cool highland air.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha (End of Tour)

After breakfast at your lodge in Karatu, you’ll depart for a morning game drive in the lush and compact Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Keep your camera ready as you drive beneath fig and mahogany trees, often hiding elephants or blue monkeys, while the lakefront teems with flamingos, storks, and more than 400 other bird species.

Manyara is also famously known for its elusive tree-climbing lions, which you may spot lounging on the branches of acacia trees, as well as resident giraffes, hippos, zebras, and troops of baboons. After a rewarding morning of wildlife viewing, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and then begin your return journey to Arusha. Expect to arrive in the late afternoon, either at your hotel or at Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your onward flight. With your heart full of memories and your camera roll brimming with wildlife moments, your unforgettable northern Tanzania safari comes to a close.
