Luxury safari package3-day Luxury Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater
This 3-day, 2-night private guided safari gives you a compact but deeply immersive experience of two of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife regions: the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Starting and ending in Arusha, you’ll travel in a custom 4×4 safari vehicle with an expert guide, staying in luxury camps and lodges, enjoying game drives both in open savannah and inside one of the world’s largest volcanic craters.
The route basically is:
Day 1: Drive from Arusha to Serengeti → evening stay in a luxury tented camp in Serengeti
Day 2: Morning game drive in Serengeti → drive to Ngorongoro Highlands / Karatu for lodge-stay
Day 3: Full half-day game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater, then return to Arusha.
This itinerary is well suited for people who want high wildlife density (especially predators in Serengeti, and superb variety including rare species in Ngorongoro), but don’t have a lot of time. It balances travel time, wildlife viewing, and comfort well.

Predator action in the Serengeti especially early mornings and during migration periods. Because you’ll be in the Central Serengeti (Seronera), which tends to have year-round wildlife, you’ll have good chances to see lions, cheetahs, leopards.
Great Landscape Changes: You’ll travel from the highland, rolling terrain around Arusha and Karatu to the open plains of Serengeti, then descend into the crater. Each setting has a very different feel.
Ngorongoro Crater wildlife density: Because the crater is enclosed, it supports a high concentration of wildlife — black rhino, elephants, hippos, lions etc. Great for photo-opportunities.

Day 1: Arusha – Serengeti National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha. After a warm welcome and briefing by your private safari guide, you’ll set off on a scenic journey to Serengeti National Park aboard a custom-built 4x4 safari vehicle. As the landscape transitions from the rolling hills of Arusha to the vast savannahs of the Serengeti, you'll pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering breathtaking views en route.
Upon entering Serengeti National Park—one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife sanctuaries—you’ll begin your first game drive with packed lunch en route. The Central Serengeti (Seronera Valley) is famed for its abundance of wildlife throughout the year, particularly its large populations of predators.
As the sun begins to set, you’ll arrive at your luxury tented safari camp, tucked discreetly into the wilderness. Enjoy sundowners by the fire, followed by a gourmet dinner prepared with local and international Flavors.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Highlands / Karatu
Rise before dawn for an early morning game drive—arguably the most magical time to witness the Serengeti awakening. The cool hours of morning offer the best chance to witness predators in action: lions on the hunt, cheetahs accelerating across the plains, and hyenas scavenging last night’s remains.
Return to camp for a hearty breakfast before beginning the journey eastward toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. As you leave the Serengeti behind, watch the ecosystem shift from dry savannah to rich volcanic soil and verdant hills.
Upon arrival in Karatu, you’ll check in at a charming luxury lodge nestled amidst coffee plantations and rolling green landscapes. Enjoy panoramic views of the highlands, a refreshing evening breeze, and the tranquillity that precedes tomorrow’s descent into the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, you’ll drive into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 600 meters (2,000 feet) into the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera—the Ngorongoro Crater. Often described as a natural Eden, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to a stunning concentration of wildlife.
Within the Crater’s 260 km² floor, you'll encounter an astonishing diversity of species in a relatively small area, massive bull elephants wandering near Lerai Forest, Pods of hippos lounging in freshwater pools, Endangered black rhinos browsing quietly in the open grasslands, Lions surveying the terrain from elevated viewpoints, spotted hyenas circling carcasses on the crater floor
After a half-day game drive and picnic lunch at a designated site inside the Crater, you will begin the drive back to Arusha. Your guide will drop you off in the city centre, near the Arusha Clocktower, or at your preferred location.
